Hello my lovelies!
Sorry for being absent. I have had a crazy last week and therefore I have not been updating my blog. I want to tell you a bit about what´s going on in my life and how my goals and eatings may change a bit in the future. So I am now in Spain ( crazy ha??) I am working here around 6 weeks as au pair for two children who are 8 & 10 years old. My host family lives in Madrid and this is now my 3rd day in Spain and I am simply loving the warm weather.
Since I am in Spain and living with my host family, I obviously have to get used to their life rhythm and their ways of eating and dining. This was/ still slightly is a scary thing for me because Spanish people eat lot of paella, pasta, meat and fried food without forgetting pastries & ice cream! I am not able to cook my dinner by myself so I have to eat basically whatever my host mom / family prepares, ( which is a bit tricky when loosing weight). However I have told her that I like to eat yoghurt and fruits for breakfast (so my breakfast has been and continues being healthy and nutritious). Also what I have eaten as a snack has been cherries or other fruits with big cup of water (which is also a healthy option). However sometimes the family has wanted me to taste a spanish chips or their homemade fries so I have then usually tasted one or couple just to be polite. Luckily they also like to make sallads and I have eaten small portions during lunch and dinner ( and by now my host family knows that "I do not eat that big portions") so I am starting to feel more reliefed about my eating plan here in Spain.
When it comes to exercising, going to gym 4 times a week is not an option. This is because 1 time at the gym costs 6 euros! ( crazy prices!). However they have nice running tracks/paths here ( from 4 km-8km) so I am planning on running/jogging 3-4 times a week 4km-8km. My host family also has some weights ( 4 kg & 5kg) and gymnastic mat so I have been doing & I am able to continue doing my strength working out and jumping jacks. I also found out yesterday that there is body pump classes 2 times a week and it would cost 48 euros/per month. So I am now considering about starting those classes in the beginning of July. In this way I would get more cardio workout ( in a fun way). My weight increased during/after graduation and it´s now around 57 kg and my aim is to be 50 kg by the time I go back to Sweden ( beginning of August). So I have to loose 1 kg per a week, which means that my phase will be pretty doable.
So now some motivation to keep me and you guys going! do not stop till you are there where you want to be!
